Q. Besides tuition are there any additional costs?

A. . You pay nothing more than the tuition. Unless you wish to add to your program, such as additional specialties not covered in your tuition. All fees for each included course are covered.

Q. What do the Tech courses consist of ?

A. The technical options to your internship consist of Advanced Nitrox as its basis, followed by Trimix and rebreather training. Each level is optional and an add on to your internship. All or our course are from diver level to Instructor Level.

Q.Is the Dive Equipment New?

A. The equipment package your will receive is brand new equipment. You will receive a complete set of ScubaPro Dive Gear/Kit. A complete list of what is included can be seen by clicking here

Q. What is a typical training day like?

A. Interns are required to be ready to go diving by 8:30am each morning. Interns will accompany clients out on dives and/or training and return to the hotel by 12:30. After lunch, interns will continue with the days classes. . All classes end by 5:00pm. Interns who require additional help may schedule training after 5:00pm. Studying for the following days activities and or exams are the responsibility of the Interns. Classes are Monday through Friday. Weekends belong to you. Unless make up classes are required. These will be scheduled for Saturday mornings.

Q. How many interns are in the program?

A. There may be as many as 15 or more interns at anyone time, however training classes are split up into groups of 5, at no time will your training group exceed that number.

Q. What are the age requirements for the internship?

A. There is a minimum age requirement of 15 to complete the rescue diver course, and 18 for the dive master. There is no set upper age limit but older divers should be aware of the intensity, length and requirements of the course and be physically prepared. Younger divers should be able to show a level of maturity required for the responsibilities inherent with being a dive instructor.

Q. What are the physical requirements.

A. Be in good physical condition. Have at least basic swimming skills.

Q. Can you supply references from previous interns?

A. Yes of course please write us requesting this information and we will gladly supply you with emails of our past students.

Q. Is staying after the internship an option.

A. You can remain at Neptune's after the end of your course, providing there is space available.

Q. Can I have visitors during my internship.

A. Yes. Friends or family may visit at any time. If they wish to attend a dive they may do so as clients and receive spacing preference and a 40% discount on all services. Space is limited in student housing so it is probable they may have to find suitable housing. Hotel discounts are available at the Karmina Palace on a case by case basis.

Q. Is Mexico Safe!!

A. Mexico is a stable, democratic and predominately (90%) christian country. As a country in general the crime level is comparable to any developed country, and unlike other countries in latin america or Asia, Mexico enjoys a tolerant stable government, (no military coups have occurred in mexico) and friendly populace.

Specifically with regards to Manzanillo and the surrounding areas, we have the pleasure of little to no crime. IN fact in the history of our program not one of our interns has ever had any type of incident involving violent or non violent crime. We are proud to say Manzanillo is by far one of the safest and friendliest places you could call home even if only for awhile.

Q. Do I need a visa to enter Mexico

A. Some countries do require a visa to enter the country, however, European Community member countries, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand do not. . Contact us if you have any questions regarding visas.

Q. Can I finance all or part of my tuition.

A. Yes, Interns may finance part of their tuition as long as they or a family member has a valid Credit card and authorizes monthly payments to be charged to the credit card. Interns may make the payments in cash and not necessarily use the credit card to make monthly payments.Term of financing is for the period of time the intern attends Neptune's. We allow only 20% of our students to finance their programs.

A. Once you have reviewed the Terms and Conditions and the Medical Forms decided to join the program. Simply click below for the online application, once received, reviewed and you have been accepted we will then send you an acceptance Letter. You will be required to submit 40% of the tuition in order to reserve your class assignment.. A. Absolutely, it is imperative that you have all the information prior to making your decision. We believe that it is best for you to speak directly with one of us, before you commit to any course in any part of the world. Q. What travel documents are required for travel to mexico?

A. If you are traveling from the US, Canada or any of the EU countries you are not required to obtain a visa. You do however need a passport to enter the country. On arrival you will be given an FM-T, this is your entry permit and is good for up to six months. With your FM-T you may remain in country and travel freely for the time allowed. There is no additional cost for the FM-T as it is included in the airline ticket price.

Q. Will I need to have a medical examination.

A. Yes. You may download a medical form from the website. It is best to have it filled out by your family doctor. You may also choose to have the physical exam done here in Manzanillo. The cost is US $50.00 and most Interns choose this route as it saves them time and money.

Q. Are flights and transfers included

A. Interns are responsible for getting to the following airports Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta or Manzanillo, transfers are included from these three airports.

Q. Which airport do I fly too.

A. There are various ways of getting to Manzanillo, the most direct is to fly directly to Manzanillo Airport (ZLO), you can also fly to Guadalajara Mexico (GDL), Puerto Vallarta (PVO). You will be emailed explicit directions and given contact numbers to ensure your arrival is easy and trouble free. See below regarding airport pick up.

Q. How can I have access to cash or Bank funds.

A. There are multiple banks in Manzanillo all of which have automatic tellers. YOU can send or receive money via Western Union or wire transfer, the staff at Neptune's can assist you with any matter you may have.

Q. How much money will need for my expenses

A. Most Interns can survive on 10 dollars per day, that is if you want to eat out every day, however; if you buy your own food and cook at home (apartments have full kitchen and utilities) your expenses will be significantly lower. Entertainment expenses can range from 10 dollars to 100 dollars depending on your personal tastes.

Q. What is included in the Tuition.

A. The standard internship is truly all inclusive. The course tuition covers all books, training aids, manuals and agency fees ,housing, airport transfers, unlimited diving, free internet access at the store, all PADI certifications up to Dive Master, 5 dive specialties, Emergency First Aid Responder Instructor,

Q. Is the Qualification recognized worldwide.

A.Yes your PADI scuba your certification is the most recognized certification in all the world, and as a member of the RSTC your certifications are recognized by all other certifying agencies.

Q. How can I make my payment and while there how too access funds .

A. Your initial deposit may be made by bank transfer or PAY PAL, You can make your final payment in a number of ways, via bank transfer or by major credit card or PAYPAL. We accept VISA/MASTERCARD. Balance is due upon arrival .

Q. What are the starting dates and are they flexible.

A. We have rolling admissions so you may begin any course on any wednesday of each week, that is four start dates per month for your convenience

Q. Will Neptune's provide transportation from the airport.

A. Yes. If you fly into Manzanillo airport we will pick you up. If you fly into Guadalajara or Puerto Vallarta airport we will pick you up. Prior to traveling we will send you explicit instructions on how to arrive safely and without delays.

Q. Is the deposit refundable.

A. We make every effort to ensure that no money is deposited before your absolutely sure about your travels. We require 40% deposit to cover the costs of material, equipment, housing reservations and preparations.

Should you for any reason be unable to attend we will gladly refund any portion of your deposit which remains. We will also send you the equipment and training materials purchased prior to your arrival.

If nothing has been purchased or can be returned to the manufacturer, we will of course refund those funds. You will receive a complete invoice of any funds not refunded. You may also choose to keep the deposits or tuition for a future training date. There are no refunds once training has commenced.
